Who wouldn’t want a great skin? Obviously, it’s a lot nicer to put makeup on a smooth skin, with no bumps, lumps or rashes. There are many factors as to why our skin sometimes acts out, like genetics, hormonal changes, weather and our diet.
Yes, you’ll be surprised to know that what we eat and drink has a major affect on body, and that includes the skin. Sure, it’s recommended to use special soaps and cleansing gels, but good nutrition can also help tremendously.
A great way to get a quick boost of nutrients and vitamins is a freshly squeezed juice. You don’t necessarily need a juicer, a blender will work just fine. Certain fruits and vegetables are excellent for the skin, and if you combine them into a tasty juice, you can only gain from this.
Here’s a recipe for a tasty juice, for glowing, smooth skin:
- 1 large beet
- 1 fennel bulb
- 1 pear
- 2 green apples (preferably Granny Smith)
- 1 sheaf of fresh dandelion greens
Make sure to wash carefully all the ingredients.
Place everything in the juicer or blender, and add a cup of water to help liquefy the juice.
You can hold it in the fridge, in an airtight container, but for no more than 2 days.
Of course, you can drink as much as you want, the more the better!
